Dear Staff, Parents, Students, and other Stakeholders,
In today's weekly update, Governor Hutchinson lifted the state ordered mask mandate. This mandate
DOES NOT affect a place of business, restaurants, hospitals or schools, if they post and require a
face/mask covering is required to come in to eat, buy, visit or attend a function.
With that said, the CCSD will continue to wear mask each day within the building, riding a bus, or
attending school functions and I will recommend to the board on April 12 to continue our mask
policy, as written, until the end of school on May 24. We will re- evaluate over the summer and see
where things stand as we come back to school in August and hopefully not need them. Mask wearing is
still a important tool to combat the virus and the new variants that are beginning to cause case
numbers and hospitalizations creep back up in over 20 states over the last few days and weeks.
Please make sure to wear your mask and continue to support mask wearing to our students!
We have come way too far to let our guard down now!! Thanks!
Craig
